On October 28, 2023, the Halal Department (HD) held its monthly meeting at the Limbe Islamic Information Bureau in Blantyre. The attendees at the meeting were HD staff members, predominantly Muslim Supervisors assigned to various Halaal-certified establishments in Blantyre and the neighbouring areas.

The meeting’s goal is to inspire staff members to carry out their jobs with professionalism while realizing the value of their contributions to the community’s access to Halaal food.

During this meeting, HD receives monthly reports from the staff regarding their work progress, and also discuss and resolve work-related issues, which leads to a sharing of work experiences.

Simultaneous gatherings of a similar nature also occur in Lilongwe and Mzuzu.
