The Halaal Department (HD) will this coming Monday, 29^th October 2018 immensely honored to welcome the South African National Halaal Authority (SANHA)’s delegation from South Africa. The Halaal Department (HD) will this coming Monday, 29^th October 2018 immensely honored to welcome the South African National Halaal Authority (SANHA)’s delegation from South Africa. The visit is aimed at to jointly appreciate the State-of-the-art Beef Abattoir that has been constructed in Mzuzu by a Malawian Company called Afrisphere Worldwide Ltd (Nyama World).

The coming of SANHA delegation to Malawi is marked as very significant to both organizations because this will maintain the long and good relationship that the two Halaal Certifying Bodies have been enjoying since 1996.

The High-Tech Abattoir started its full operations in July 2018, the main purpose of its existence is to export the mutton to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is also considered to be the first advanced stun free Abattoir to be built in the Southern part of Africa.
